It's been a while since I ranted XD. So I am fully dedicating my time now to...rant, yet again. : ) Click <-Back. Now. No?

^_^ I have developed a hate for coasters. Not the circus/fan fair type, no those are fun. But for the round protective, often decorative, pieces of kitchen accessories that moms always nag at us to put under our cups as to "not leave a ring...who is going to buy a new table! Huh!? Huh?!"....

You might be thinking: Why does she hate coasters?

Because ^_^ They are evil personified! This might sound ridiculous, but I'm pretty sure there is a documented record somewhere in whatever corner of this world where a priest/scientist/demon exorcist had has prayed/experimented /exorcised in presence of the evil demonic aura the thin piece of metal/silicon/plastic exhumes when ever it is thrown at us by our friends/family/hosts/bitchy evil lady on the 6th floor. Because it knows...unless we put it under our glass/mug/teacup/RedBull, we will either be given a long lecture about not respecting our surroundings or be criticized and "be made examples of" behind our backs when we leave about how horrible we are while "competent" and "respectfully civilized" people after us follow the damned procedure, resulting in ultimate humiliation when the next time we are over or are offered a drink in our own home, the fucking thing is waved in our faces as a reminder....and we can hear it laugh. And the damned black, demonic, satanic aura glares at us and an imaginary fanged, disturbing smile stretches along the unmentionable's plastic/porcelain/silicon/metal surface. And a little part of us dies a little on the inside.

Even worse; the things have “enthusiasts” that practically worship the stuff. OMFG, imagine being in a “respective” enthusiast’s household. You are drinking your cola/beer/coffee/tea/RedBull, then just by chance, accidentally you put the beverage to the left of the coaster by an inch. And then it happens…the beady eyes of the enthusiast looks at you cola/beer/coffee/tea/RedBull and they growl internally. You don’t hear it, you don’t see it…but you feel it and the guilt and embarrassment and annoyance hits you. Then you have to go through the apologetic smile or a casual realization of what you have done that is a social expectance. And THEN, you put your drink where it’s supposed to be and both of you pretend like it never happened. However, the next time the pair of you sit down, in a fleeting thought the enthusiast’s eyes will flicker to you as you settle your drink back down, and you will feel the obligation to make them happy by showing them that you “have learned your lesson”……
